Prayers abound…

TO ALL THOSE IN CANADA in flood-stricken areas, our prayers are with you.

To Quebec, the Gatineau, Ottawa, the Okanagan of BC, and regions in the Maritimes experiencing flooding – stay strong, stay as dry as you can, and know that we are with you in spirit as you go through this difficult time.

May the waters recede, the rains lessen, the lands dry. May kindness and caring prevail for you wherever you are. May strangers and neighbours be your helping hand, now and during the days of clean up ahead and those of building anew.

I am reminded of the lotus flower that births forth out of the depths of the watery mud to be share its magnificence, serenity, and beauty with us all.

Even now, in the midst of devastation, such birthing is possible. May it be yours.

Miracles…

Today I pray for miracles.Digital Camera

Miracles for this world, for you, and me. Miracles that can turn the tide of being, here and now.

Whether for good health or well-being, for money midst dire or stressful situations, or for a caring voice during the passing of what has been or who has been with you. I pray for miracles.

I pray for the miracle of a shining light – the light that comes from that deep space within, the Eternal flame of who we truly are. I pray for this light to miraculously illuminate the path we now walk, no matter who we are or where we are, that we may see beyond the confusion and the folly that spins like a tempest upon the seas of our world, and find the courage to walk a path of love and understanding instead.

I pray for the miracle of love – divine and everlasting – to attend us all today; to unblock a frightened heart, heal a wounded soul, and mend a fractured mind.

I pray for miracles – that we may have eyes to see and ears to hear – that, miraculously, we might turn and realize what many who seldom walk this world have always known – that here sits a bit of heaven – a garden of love – a world of plenty and of light. I pray for the miracle of that knowing, and the audacity to live its truth.

I pray for miracles. I pray for love.

I cry…

I CRY…
By Aliana Alani ©2016

I cry for you, Italy.
I cry for us all.

And midst the flowing tears,
A seed is born, glowing.

A single note sung in three-part harmony.
A call of love – Amore.

It rides salty waves like a fearless warrior
that it might find fertile ground
within the folds of tomorrow.

A prayer of love

A couple of days ago, a Facebook friend shared the following prayer. I don’t know where it came from originally but I liked it, copied it out, and have been spending time with it. I share it with you now. It may be your cuppa or it may not. I share it because our world needs love, now more than ever, and so do we. It’s called:

THE MIRACLE PRAYER

I open my heart wide to receive the love of God.

As I receive God’s love as universal supply, all my affairs are healed.

I realize and accept the healing power of the Universe as love, and I allow the healing power that is love to penetrate my life.

I readily accept the healing power of love in my life and I know that as love, God is my limitless and abundant supply made manifest.

I feel the outpouring of God’s love in my body & mind.

I feel God’s love in my affairs, and I know all is well.

For many of us…

For many of us in this world, the time of Christmas is close at hand. It is a time of celebration, a time of remembering, a time of gratitude, and a time of family. Within its spiritual story is the journey of a young couple searching for a safe place to rest; a place to birth a child who would later prove to be, for many, a messiah.

Finding no room at the inn, so we are told, wherever they went, they ended up in a stable where the child ultimately was born.

The flight from one place to another is not unique. As a species, we have been migrating for as long as history can tell us, probably even longer. We move for many reasons, but much of the time we move because where we presently are is no longer a safe place to be.

Like Mary and Joseph, we flee for a better safer land.

As we prepare to gather our families around us, to decorate and light the Christmas tree, to sing cherished carols, and honour a special time, let us ponder this – Let us not be the ones who punish the innocent because of the atrocities of a few.  Let us not be the ones who say – there is no room at the inn.

For Paris … For the world

These are the prayers we must hold in our hearts. They are prayers for peace, for healing, and for love. Prayers for Paris and for France. And ultimately, for you, for me, for the world.

Why? Because what happens to one, on some level, ultimately happens to all. So do hold the vision of kindness, of balance, and of harmony in your minds now, and the prayers of love and healing in your hearts.

For Paris, for France, for us all.

Souls are flying …

Souls are flying –??????????????

Soaring like newborn angels

High into the heavens.

Who are we to say

How or when they fly?

Better to honour their passing,

To kiss their leave-taking with prayer flags fluttering

And candles flickering like soft winds

From the heart.

Better to wish them well

In this their transition from one place

Of being to another.

Better to usher them on

Along a wave of love.wave-energy_nice-wave
