Let’s Make Sunday a Day of Love

Yes, it’s true – tomorrow is Sunday.

single red rose 3So I am here once again to remind you of WILL YOU JOIN ME?, the page I posted a couple of weeks ago that began the call to come together to Make Sunday a Day of Love (you can find the page heading above this posting in the headings area).

As some of you may know by now, it is a call to come home to love – to bring love, unconditional and timeless, into all aspects of our lives – for ourselves, for each other, and for the world. We begin with one day – Sunday. But ultimately it is there to assist us in infusing every day with love; to get used to the idea, the feeling, its resonance within, and then, make it so.

Please go to the page WILL YOU JOIN ME? and read about it.

burning candles, like a heart

Obviously, the world has gotten a little crazier and pain-filled since last weekend, so our love, kind and compassionate, is needed more than ever. There are a lot of vulnerable people out there right now who could use feeling a little healing love. So let’s join together and Make this Sunday a Day of Love – and when we do, when we create that healing circle within the day of love, let’s be sure we send some of that love, like a gentle gentle wave, into our very fragile world, that those in need may feel, even from distance, that they are not alone, and yes, that they are loved

 WILL YOU JOIN ME?

Bless you and thank you. Thank you for helping MAKE SUNDAY A DAY OF LOVE.

Let’s make Sunday a Day of Love

Tomorrow is Sunday.??????????????

Last week I put up a new page here called, WILL YOU JOIN ME? It was, and is, a call to come home to love. Ultimately, it is a call to come home to it every minute of every day – to return to the heart within, divine and everlasting, and live from there.

But for the moment, till we get used to becoming the emanation of the high and beautiful frequencies of such a love and how that might transform our lives, this is a call to spend every Sunday, all Sunday, in the focus and energy of pure love – unconditional, kind, compassionate, and gentle – for ourselves and for our world.

There’s a bit more to the call to MAKE SUNDAY A DAY OF LOVE so do go and take a look. You’ll find the page heading WILL YOU JOIN ME? above, alongside the other page headings. Click on it and take a read. It’s long so hang in there. And there are Share buttons. Please use them. The more people who choose to MAKE SUNDAY A DAY OF LOVE, the better.

Let’s return home to the love we all truly are – a love that passes understanding – a love unconditional and endless – a love that permeates every atom of our beings – a love that heals, empowers, and helps everything flourish in the resonance of love. Please join me.

The rushing waves…

Another shock wave ripples through our world.wave-energy_nice-wave

Whether you agree with the recent decisions in the UK or not, find them right, wrong, or are indifferent, the bottom line is change is afoot. And though change can ultimately be good, it also often carries with it a rushing wave of insecurity, vulnerability, and a touch of the OMG factor.

We’re all connected, right, we know that now, and God knows we’ve had a lot of rushing waves lately, which means that, generally speaking, our balance factor isn’t exactly on center point – SO – beautiful people that you are (and you are!) – now is the time to amp up that glorious light of yours, hold that vision of balance, open up the heart a little more, and let the boundless love that’s in it cascade like a gentle waterfall of kindness and compassion into our world.

It is needed, now more than ever. Which means, of course, so are you.

Smile at the grumpy grocery clerk, shake hands with a stranger and mean it, give the person dear to you a hug. Reach out and share your kindness with others. It makes a difference. These are soft ripples in the pond we’re creating here, not tsunamis, but they mount up, they matter, and they ease the pain and confusion in this world. They ease the loneliness many carry, and they say, subtly perhaps – we are all in this together – we are one.

So please, go be that shining light. Help heal the world with love.

How Fragile…

images-lotus

By: Aliana Alani ©2016

There is a beautiful song written by Sting called, How Fragile We Are. I heard it for the first time driving down a highway in the dead of night. Its haunting melody searched the horizons of my heart like the car’s headlights searched the road ahead. Were we travelling the same path? It felt that way. And so began, among other things, a love of Sting’s music, which continues to this day.

Light Within The DarknessOne would think that with all the topsy-turvy in the world we might just get used to the ebb and flow of life, its almost constant shift and change. You could even dance with the idea that within these upside-down moments, tremulous as they often are, reside opportunities hidden deep within, life lessons that can ultimately ease the way, shining a path to home.  And yet…

How fragile we are…

There is a vulnerability within us all. A soft spot we frequently like to protect. Instinctively we know it is a door to loving; still we’re careful, usually, about how often we leave it open, or who we let in, or whether we dare to enter it ourselves and live from its sacred domain, a center space we crave like some long distant memory. We’re careful, cautious, because inside we know…

How fragile we are…

And yet we also know, again at a deep level, that it is our greatest gift, this vulnerability, this circle of feeling. We sense, with every fibre of our being, that we are at our best when we are loving; that we are living our Divine potential when we are sharing that love without condition; when we are coming from a place of unlimited kindness and compassion. We know this, still…

When devastation happens – wars rage, fires ravage, floods submerge, people we love succumb to illness or despair and we find ourselves alone – when that which we hold dear dissolves before our eyes, it is hard to imagine that in such moments we are at the very precipice of loving, and yet we are. It may not feel like that. It may feel like an abyss with nothing left, no light, no home to go to, no one to hold onto. It may feel as though there will be no tomorrow – none you can see, none that feels worth living for. It may feel as though everything is closing down. And yet…

…the rain will fall, like tears from a star…

Every moment carries an opportunity – to dare to open, to heal, and to love again. Whether it is an outstretched helping hand, a smile that warms the soul, or a welcome mat you never expected to find – whether you are the giver or the receiver – whether we are talking about humanity, the earth, or beyond – it is all about the loving. Always.

…like tears from a star…

Nothing happens without all of us feeling it. All of us. Everywhere. Whether we know it or not. And everything blossoms and grows with love, especially when generously given. Things come and go. Worlds evolve and change. But the essence of love is always there, dancing throughout the play of life. It is who we are.

This love – infinite, knowing no bounds or limits – this is who we truly are.

Apologies and gratitude to Sting for borrowing some of his beautiful song phrases to filter through this writing. I didn’t ask ahead of time so I’m hoping he won’t mind. How Fragile We Are is, to me, one of the most beautiful songs ever written. If you have never heard it, do yourself a favor, find it, buy it, and listen.

This is for you, Justin.

A majority of voters have elected you the new Prime Minister of Canada. May the blessings of all that is sacred grace your days and light your path.

You have before you a window of opportunity. Use it well. Waste not one moment on petty grievances, needless insecurities, paranoia or fears that may come your way, no matter the spin or swirl. Light a candle in the political heart of this country once again and let it shine a mirror of goodness for all to experience.

We are a vast country, but we are but one of many. The world needs compassionate leaders more than ever. Be one of them.

Be strong, yes. Courageous, of course. Act with clarity and decisiveness, absolutely. But remember the heart of kindness and caring that beats within each member of this nation and help us, as a country, to come home to that again – because it is who we truly are, and because each and every member of this nation matters, no matter who they are or where they are or where they’ve come from.

There once was a Canada that people in the rest of the world looked to as one that could be admired, whose policies could be taken as a template for their own, whose way of caring was sought after. We lost that in the political mist of yesterday.  Act with heart and sincerity in ways that bring us back to our place at the world table, and once there, let us as a country with you as our leader act with even greater clarity, diplomacy, and humanity than ever before. Let us, once again, be a positive contributor to the wellness of the world.

You were elected because people in this country chose to believe in you. Be the beacon of light you were destined to be. Make Canada proud.

Blessings to you, your family, and the path you now walk.

I wish you well.
