If you are the grain…

galaxy and stars

If you are the grain in the line in the sand,
And the sand is the dust of stars,
And the stars are the light in the dark of night,
The womb of the heart of all

Then ponder this, for it speaks to the true

That within the grain that you are
Lives the sand and the line, the dust of stars,
And their light shining bright in the dark of night,
The womb of the heart of all

That you are.

Behold,

How long it can often take
To build a dream into a reality,

And how little time is needed
To tear it all apart.

And what is left…

And so it is that friendships
come and go.
And memories that seemed etched in time
begin to fade.

The imports of a life no longer
weave their spells.
Their words and thoughts no longer
holding sway.

And what is left is to the
alchemist pure gold.
A plot of heaven midst a field
of fertile light.

One solitary note. One single chord.
Echoing throughout the endless
chambers of the
Eternal heart.

I cry…

I CRY…
By Aliana Alani ©2016

I cry for you, Italy.
I cry for us all.

And midst the flowing tears,
A seed is born, glowing.

A single note sung in three-part harmony.
A call of love – Amore.

It rides salty waves like a fearless warrior
that it might find fertile ground
within the folds of tomorrow.

I Walk Alone                                            ©Aliana Alani 2016

I walk alone but am not lonely.
I flirt with stars that call my name.
Winds dance through the heathers
of my remembering and leave a
trail of perfume in their wake.

I walk alone but am not lonely.
Galaxies dissolve like sparkling grains
of golden sands beneath my feet.
I walk midst sunrises and sunsets
and wisps of tomorrows yet to come.

I walk alone but am not lonely.
Heaven is my gate and Eternity my home.
I turn and find You everywhere. I turn
and look and walk, alone and yet not lonely.
For I am everywhere, alone, not lonely.

I walk in never-ending beauty.
Reflecting light – alone, not lonely
Reflecting love, I am – alone, not lonely.
Reflecting, reflecting, I am You
Everywhere – alone but never lonely.

A thought for the day

Ultimately,

We are all stardust

Dancing in the heart of love.

Come Home to Love

COME HOME TO LOVE                                                  ©Aliana Alani 2016

Come home to love.
Come home.

As waters flood, and lands parch and burn,
Come home.

As the world spins upside down
And that which was important falls away,
Come home.

When words tumble like empty shells upon the soul
And reason casts its knowing to the winds,
Come home.

Come home to love,
Oh weary warriors of this earth.
Put down your shields and weapons aplenty.
Come home.

Lay bare your wounded hearts
That love may heal their weeping
And serenade you into wholeness
With a melody divine.

Come home to love
That knows no ending
And welcomes all with open arms.

Come home to love.
Come home to love now.
Come home.

And in the depths of wonder, a stillness comes

And suddenly you realize,

You’ve been home all along.

A bit of poetry…

I AM THE DANCE

by: Aliana Alani ©2016

I am the dance of the universe.

My cells tango with the heavens
and salsa with the seas.

My heart beats to a drum, divine,
marrying its pulse with worlds as yet unseen.

My mind, ah my mind, hums and sways with
melodies, both wordless and serene.

I am the dance of the universe.
I am the dance.

Come dance with me.

Remembering… ©Aliana Alani 2015

Once, long ago, I sauntered across a desert, red and endless.Deep Red sand dunes of the Strzelecki Desert in outback South Australia.

You were there, waiting.

Recently, as time flies, I entered a crowd-filled room

Only to find you, once again.

galaxy and stars

We are ancient, you and I.

Somehow beyond time and space.

Yet every so often we meet,

Star lovers crossing the heavens.

Our hearts mingle for but a brief second –

And we remember.

Then it appears we are no more.

But that is an illusion – isn’t it.

Today, your people call forth.

They cry for understanding, justice –

Perhaps even love?

How can I not hear?

After all, we are one, you and I,

Whether in the heavens or now.

Isn’t that the purpose of remembering?

That, and love.
